Studies have shown that grades are not always a good assessment tool for students, so we do not give grades. On the other hand, it is important that the students can assess themselves, so we evaluate each concept individually with them, so they know what their strengths are and which concepts they must continue to work on.

The school is accessible by bus, the bus takes 15 minutes from the Rueil-Malmaison RER A station and less than 10 minutes from the Celle Saint-Cloud station.

No, our school does not have a boarding school.

We have a contract with a private company who provides healthy and organic food daily. Every student and member of staff eat together in the same room, this helps build positive and trusting relationships between students and teachers.

Yes, it is possible and we put everything into place so that it can be done with ease. Some students wish to join La Jonchère to complete their entire schooling, others wish to join for only the middle school years. We understand that it is important for students to have the option to continue their studies in a public school. To return to a public school, the family must submit a request to the DSDEN of their ‘départment’, specifying the level in which they wish to enroll their child. The DSDEN will then inform you of the date on which a placement test will take place to check the consistency between the class requested and the level of the child. There is a test in mathematics, French and English to enter the final year of middle school and the first year of high school. For the lower middle school grades, there is a math test and a French test.

The options offered are as follows: mathematics, physics and chemistry, biology, economics and social sciences, digital and computer sciences and English literature (LLCER).

Depending on the student’s profile and intended career path, these options will be available from the first year of high school.
